White County High School’s Warrior Media program seeing success in its new gym video boards.
Principal Greg Wilson said the students have the capability to create team hype videos and more to elevate the game time atmosphere.
“They’re professional quality,” Wilson said. “The kids are doing great and this is just another avenue to show our student-athletes and our students and our kids’ abilities to do great things.”
Wilson said Warrior Media operates through the school’s CTE audio/visual program. He said it is a very popular class for students to take, especially as the media industry and capabilities continue to grow.
Wilson said eventually they hope to implement a mobile truck where students can do away games and other broadcasts in the community.
“It’s very exciting to see the kids start as a sophomore and then move up and our senior class they do our morning announcements and different things,” Wilson said. “It’s exciting to see them learning and what they’re able to produce and we’re looking forward.”
