Cookeville Cityscape Names Krauss As New Executive Director

Lorie Krauss has been named the new Executive Director for Cookeville Cityscape.

Krauss will begin her work on November 21st. The Cookeville native and Tennessee Tech graduate brings a 25-year career in foster care to the downtown revitalization group.

“I am honored to be able to continue my service in this community through the CityScape position,” Krauss said in a release. “My family has deep roots in our community, and I have spent most of my career working in the region through state grants and contracts. Many of those relationships will be strong assets in my new position.”

Krauss replaces Holly Freeman, who stepped down as CityScape director in September for a new opportunity.

“We are excited to have Lorie lead our organization as Executive Director,” CityScape Board Chair Tiffany Davidson said in a release. “She joins us with fresh enthusiasm and a love of her community. I couldn’t be happier about the direction we are headed at CityScape and to have Lorie lead the way.”
