The Sparta- White County Rescue Squad has recently elected several new leaders to serve over the next two years.
Assistant Chief Charlie Tollison said the squad has a new Captain in Jeff Kolster.
“I think we are doing real good right now,” Tollison said. “We’ve got one of the best membership levels that we have ever had since I have been here. We have 29 members right now and I think the training is going to really improve.”
Tollison said Kolster joined the crew about a year and a half ago after moving from California. Tollison said Kolster will be third in command and help oversee training. Tollison said the squad also elected two Lieutenants, a sergeant, secretary and treasurer.
The chief and assistant chief positions remained the same since they are elected every three years. Ray Brown is the chief with Tollison as the assistant.
