Tuesday Is The Voting Registration Deadline For November Election

Tuesday is the last day to register to vote in the November election.

Jackson County Administrator of Elections Drew McMillan said you can come register either in person or online at GoVoteTN.gov.

“You technically don’t have to have anything (to register),” McMillan said. “We do like you to see an I.D. but we verify that at the polling place on election day or during early voting to match your I.D. up with your registration.”

McMillan said the process is easy, and takes less than five minutes. He said it’s important to make sure your information, especially if you’ve recently moved or haven’t voted in several years and have been marked as inactive.

McMillan said voters should check in with the elections office to make sure your status is active and all information is up to date.
