A Carthage woman was arrested and jailed on an aggravated assault charge.
TBI agents investigating a shooting at a residence on the 700 block of Jefferson Avenue Thursday developed information that when a victim came home to retrieve items, 61-year-old Sharon Camp, the homeowner, confronted her and a fight ensued.
Investigators detailed that at some point during the argument, Camp fired a firearm and injured the victim.
Camp is booked into the Smith County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
