Warren County Sheriff’s awarded some $551,000 through the Tennessee Department of Corrections jail confinement grant program.
Major Bo Ramsey said the grant was made possible through the help of the Upper Cumberland Development District. He said they plan on using the money for air purifiers and upgrading filing systems, among other things.
Ramsey said they also plan on using the funding for a bus to transport inmates to and from court. He said they also have kitchen equipment on their project list to hopefully better feed inmates.
