Highlands Young Professionals Bringing The Next Generation of Leaders Together

The Highlands Economic Partnership initiative to connect young professionals kicks off Thursday.

Investor Relations Director Adam Poe said the Highlands Young Professionals will facilitate networking opportunities for the four-county area of Putnam, White, Jackson and Overton Counties.

“That’s the whole reason why the Highlands Economic Partnership exists is to promote regionalism,” Poe said. “The only way we grow is if we grow together. The fact that we can be a catalyst to those conversations and the growth of our next generation leaders is extremely important.”

Poe said the free quarterly sessions will rotate among the counties starting in Putnam. Poe said young leaders will gather at the Blue Pig from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Poe said the theme of the evening will be football to break the ice for conversations that could lead to new opportunities.

Poe said the goal is to build relationships so young talents stay local while also building future business.
