This Week Putnam Commission Chair Appointed, White Co Commission Continues Land Fill Discussion

This week in the Upper Cumberland the Putnam County Commission will fill several vacancies in committees Monday.

Over 15 committees will see a new member appointed. The vacancies are due to some commissioners rolling of the commission after the August Election thus leaving open seats.

The commission will also elect its chair. The meeting begins at 6:00 p.m.

The White County Commission will consider accepting trash from outside counties once again. The landfill cell has been closed for several weeks due to ongoing evaluations. A chair of the commission will also be appointed.

Business starts at 6:00 p.m. Monday.

The Fentress County Commission will consider adding an additional crew to the county’s ambulance service. New voting machine could also be purchased. The commission meeting will be held at the county courthouse at 6:00 p.m.

The Van Buren County Commission meeting Tuesday has been cancelled.

Thursday, the Jackson County School Board will hear from architects regarding system-wide secure school entrance projects. Members will negotiate bid prices to try and fit the budgeted amount. The school board convenes at 6:00 p.m.

The Cookeville Regional Hospital Board meets at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
