The Upper Cumberland Development District honored long-time employee Henry Bowman at its Tuesday meeting.
Bowman has served in his position as a research analyst since August 1972. UCDD Executive Director Mark Farley said he has used Bowman’s trajectories for many years to plan and create budgets.
“I had been a fan of Henry’s for many many years and I’m not the only one,” Farley said. “I’ve talked to numerous business people around the Upper Cumberland, especially here in Cookeville that have used his information on whether or not to start a business based on the trajectories and the data he has been able to provide.”
Farley said that the amount of grant dollars the UCDD is able to bring into counties and cities would not be possible without input from Bowman.
The board also recognized Area Agency on Aging & Disability employee Judy Roberson for her 40 years. Both Bowman and Roberson will have conference rooms at the Development District’s England Drive office dedicated to their service and hard work.
