White Co School Board Member Seeking TSBA Position

White County School Board Member Jayson McDonald will seek the position of TSBA Secretary on the state association’s Officers Board.

McDonald said the position is a one-year term that has consequential steps to become TSBA President.

McDonald said the election will take place in November at the state convention. A School Board either has to sign a petition to pursue the position or vote on the item in order for TSBA to consider a candidate.

School Board Chair Bob Young said it is an opportunity for White County to be represented at a state level.

McDonald will also seek reelection as the Upper Cumberland District  TSBA Representative in September.
