Twin Lakes Broadband Proposal Named Finalist For State Funding

A Twin Lakes proposal to expand broadband access in Putnam County is one step closer to happening.

The grant application was named a finalist for state funding through ARP broadband money. The $15 million project would bring 195 miles of fiber network to unserved areas of Putnam County.

“While official grant awardees will not be announced by the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development until August, we are optimistic about the
opportunity to serve the unserved in Putnam County,” General Manager and CEO Jonathan West said in a release.
