Obituaries For Monday, July 4

Mr. Bud Shanks, age 75 of Cookeville, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022, at his home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Funeral services for Mrs. Susan Ruth Ludwig Case, age 67 of Canton, GA, and formerly of Bloomington Springs, will be held Tuesday, July 5, at 11:30 a.m., at Heavenly Host Lutheran Church in Cookeville. Burial will follow in Dyer Cemetery in Bloomington Springs. Mrs. Case passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022, at Northside Hospital Cherokee in Canton, GA. She was born April 20, 1955, in Groton, CT, the daughter of Ruth Ida Radke Ludwig and the late Gustav W. Ludwig. She was retired from residency advisory at Tennessee Technological University, and a member of the Heavenly Host Lutheran Church. In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband of 50 years, Gary David Case; a son, Gregory David Case; two daughters, Shannon (Timothy) Lynn Nowak of Mooresboro, NC, and Regan Romans Case of Cumming, GA. Visitation will be held Tuesday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial donations may be made to the Cookeville Pregnancy Clinic by contacting Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life service for Mr. Bernard Hollins Allred, age 92 of Cookeville, will be held Tuesday, July 5, at 1:00 p.m., at Cookeville Church of the Nazarene. Burial, with military honors, will follow at 4:00 p.m. in Clarkrange Cemetery. Mr. Allred passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born July 18, 1929, in Clarkrange, the son of the late Emma Todd Allred and Virgil Edward Allred. He was United States Army veteran and was honorably discharged before his enlistment time ended due to family needs. He was a lifetime member of the Cookeville Church of the Nazarene, where he served in many capacities including the church board for many years. Survivors include his wife, Anna Faye Gilreath Allred; three children, Constance Allred (Jim) Maddux of Sparta, William “Bill” Allred of South Lebanon, OH, and Rev. Ed H. (Renee) Allred of Crosby, TX. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Wilma Lee Sewell Allred; a son, Gary Bernard Allred. Visitation will be held Tuesday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

A Celebration of Life service for Mr. Ryan Brandon Richardson, age 41 of Cookeville, will be held Wednesday, July 6, at 11:00 a.m., at Eaton Church of Christ in Doyle. Mr. Richardson passed away Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born October 21, 1980, in Putnam County, the son of Adrian Williams of Sparta and Jacqueline Richardson of Cookeville. Ryan was of the Christian faith. He loved being with family, fishing and living life to the fullest. In addition to his parents, survivors include the mother of his children, MaryAnn Jones of Maryland; three sons, Ryan Brandon Richardson II, Homer Junior Richardson, and Hank Hayes Richardson; a daughter, AliMarie Grace Richardson.

Funeral services for Mr. Michael Owen “Mike” Beaty, age 73 of Byrdstown, will be held Thursday, July 7, at 1:00 p.m., at Brown Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Beaty Cemetery. Mr. Beaty passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Standing Stone Care and Rehab. He was born May 18, 1949, in Byrdstown, the son of the late Manson Owen Beaty and Nona Christell (Tidrow) Beaty. He was a mechanic and welder. Survivors include three sons, Chris (Matty) Beaty, Kendall Beaty, and Josh (Sarah) Beaty. Visitation will be held Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Celebration of Life services for Ms. Sandy Heady, age 62, of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, July 9, at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bohannon Cemetery in the Calfkiller community. Ms. Heady passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born Saturday, January 23, 1960, at The Hill Air Force Base in Utah, the daughter of the late James And Sharon Schmidt Heady. She was a homemaker. Survivors include a daughter, Sara (Tim) Golden of Cookeville; a son, Scott Snedeker of Silver Point. Visitation will be held Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Jenell (Conner) Hutchinson, age 75 of Murfreesboro and formerly of Byrdstown, will be held Saturday, July 9, at 1:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Amonett Cemetery. Mrs. Hutchinson passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at St. Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro. She was born February 5, 1947, in Byrdstown, the daughter of the late Thomas Conner and Ruby Maudean (Neal) Conner. Mrs. Hutchinson worked as a billing Clerk. Survivors include two sons, Brian (Melissa) Shaw and Timothy Hutchinson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Hutchinson. Visitation will be held Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

A memorial service for Mr. Richard Percy White, age 84 of Cookeville, will be held Thursday, July 21, at 12:00 p.m. at Stevens Street Baptist Church. Mr. White passed away Thursday, June 30, 2022, at his home. He  was born April 23, 1938, in Nashville, the son of the late Harold and Christine White. He served in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1960 aboard the U.S.S. Warrick. During his service, he was on the Navy Boxing Team and received the Navy Expert Pistol Shot Medal. Richard owned several small businesses and also worked at the Nashville Ford Glass Plant. He attended Stevens Street Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Beverly Swafford White; two sons, Jesse Dean (Debbie) White and Harold Bryant (Susan) White. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jesse Todd White. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 21, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
