Cookeville City Council approved on second reading the rezoning of the Lovelady Road project to single-family residential.
A transitional zone will be rezoned RS-10, while the remaining acres will be changed to RS 5. The vote was approved 4 to 1, with Council Member Eric Walker the lone no vote.
Council also approved the rezoning of the old Norwalk property on South Willow Avenue to regional commercial.
