PCSS Names Next Upperman High School Principal

Putnam County Schools named Stephen Robbins as the new Upperman High School principal for next school year Tuesday.

Robbins will replace Billy Stepp who accepted a new position as Cumberland County Director of Schools. Robbins served as Cookeville High School’s assistant principal and athletic director for five years.

Robbins will officially begin his role on July 1st.

“I am honored to be named the principal at Upperman High School, carry on the deep-rooted traditions, continue moving the school forward, and just be a servant leader,” Robbins said in a release. “ I believe that all students are capable of learning, but it’s even more important that we meet students where they are and strive to continue helping them improve.”
