Clay Library Board Selects Alecia Burns As New Director

The Clay County Library Board of Trustees has found its new County Library Director.

Chair Dennis Miller said that the board selected librarian Alecia Burns out of two candidates to take the position.

“And of the two interviews we conducted, it just seemed that she had a lot of enthusiasm, a lot of experience, a lot of good ideas for going forward with the library programs,” Miller said. “And that just the decision that the board made.”

Miller said that Burns will take the role over from long-serving director Judith Cutright. He said that he’s excited to see the plans Burns has to further the development of the library.
