Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson Speaking At Life Church Easter Services

Duck Commander Founder and Duck Dynasty Star Phil Robertson will be coming to Cookeville Easter weekend as a Life Church special speaker.

Cookeville Pastor Bob Sotis said Robertson will speak Saturday and Sunday at the Hooper Eblen Center.

“It was kind of a goal of ours back when COVID started to attract people back to the church house,” Sotis said. “We thought by bringing in someone special, people that have kind of secluded themselves would come out.”

Sotis said the service will be free for all to attend. Sotis said the offering from both days will go to three local non-profits: Mustard Seed Ranch, Cookeville Rescue Mission and Convoy of Hope.

“The goal with the Mustard Seed Ranch is how they help children,” Sotis said. “The Cookeville Rescue Mission because it is the surrounding counties. Everybody needs to help the homeless, and the Convoy of Hope will help the people of Ukraine.”

Robertson will speak Saturday at 6:00 p.m. and Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Sotis said services will be about 2 hours.

“I believe if you want to hear the word of God brought to you in a different way,” Sotis said. “Phil is an in your face type of guy. He grew up I think he says the first 28 years as a heathen, and then the next 42 years of his life he has been saved. So if you want to hear the word of God from a really cool guy come on out, and he says he is gonna play his duck call.”
