Byrdstown undertaking a large paving project that would provide more public parking downtown.
Mayor Sam Gibson said 45,000 square feet of paving should begin in April, just in time for the June completion of the remodeled Gulf gas station.
The Board of Aldermen approved some $90,000 for the project. Gibson said the paved area will also second as an event place. Gibson said the town’s activity board has plenty scheduled such the movie night series and Fourth of July.
