This week in the Upper Cumberland the Overton County Commission will consider two grant applications Monday.
Commissioners will consider a $20,000 for its public library. The funding can be used for hotspots, solar charging tables or training.
Grant funding also on the table for the Overton County Sheriff’s Office. Commissioners will discuss a $20,000 grant with a 50 percent match to purchase body cameras.
The meeting begins at 5:00 p.m. at the county courthouse.
The Byrdstown Board of Aldermen will open bids for several items Monday. Those include new flooring at city hall, the repaving of its parking lot and mowing services for the spring.
Member will also hear an update from its engineering team on the feasibility of ARP projects. The meeting at city hall starts at 5:00 p.m.
The Pickett County Board of Education meets Monday night at 7:00 p.m.
The Van Buren County Commission will consider its ARP spending plan Tuesday. A new ambulance and paying off a brush truck as well as senior center and fire department grants highlight the plan. The recommendation comes from committee.
The meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. at the county services building.
Wednesday, UCHRA will hold a public hearing for community feedback on aging and disability services. It will take place Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the UCDD office.
The Van Buren County Board of Education meets at 5:30 p.m Wednesday. The Highlands Residential Services Board gathers Thursday at noon.
