One Dead, Charges Pending Following Cookeville Boatdock Road Collision

One person dead, charges pending following a two-vehicle collision Wednesday morning on Cookeville Boatdock Road.

30-year-old Coty Buckmaster was traveling with 32-year-old Rebecca Copley and four juvenile passengers in a 2004 GMC Yukon. Buckmaster attempted to pass a vehicle in front of him in a no-pass zone. Buckmaster struck  72-year-old Jesse Massa head-on.

All individuals were transported to Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Massa’s injuries were fatal.

The investigation is still ongoing.
