Imagine Foundry Will Host A NYE Lock-In For Kids

Cookeville’s Imagine Foundry is hosting a New Year’s Eve lock-in for kids in the community.

Director Jessa Hershner said that the Imagine Foundry is a place for families to come and invent and create together.

“With different studios set up for making and tinkering,” Hershner said. “And we can accommodate families with children from 2 to 102. So there is something for everybody here at the Imagine Foundry.”

Hershner said that the idea came about because they wanted to give families a fun and interactive space to come and celebrate. She said that because kids love having fun together, they thought what better way to have that than to have a game night.

“We do have a lot of board games and card games that we can play together,” Hershner said. “We also have some active games and an obstacle course. We do have a bounce house obstacle course and also an indoor play area for making up some games together. They’re a little bit more active.”

Hershner said that the event will also have online coding games, and a chance to create their own board games. She said that parents should sign their children up to provide a unique, fun experience to enjoy.

“First of all it gives the kids something to do that’s safe and fun,” Hershner said. “And they’re going to have other people to interact with and food and snacks to enjoy throughout the night, and that will give parents a chance to enjoy their New Year’s as well.”

Hershner said that kids should bring a sleeping bag, pillow, and a change of clothes. Parents can register their kids on the Imagine Foundry’s website for $40. She said that includes food, drinks, and activities. She said if there is more than one child, use the promo code “SIBLING” for a slight discount.
