The Merry & Bright Tour of Lights guides you through the best-decorated homes of Putnam County but what is the best route to take?
Recreation Programmer Sally Herren said the city has created a map with step by step directions to see all 28 locations.
“David Bailey, he’s the GIS Assistant Manager for the Cookeville Planning Department, he actually came up with that,” Herren said. “That’s the first year that we’ve had someone actually give directions on what the best route to go is,”
Herren said the majority of homes are centralized around a 10-mile radius of Cookeville. Herren said she recommends breaking up the tour in two sections: western and eastern parts of the county.
The route suggestion has 225 directions, covering about 69 miles.
