Bon Air United Methodist Church Giving Away Winter Clothing For Children

Bon Air United Methodist Church will be giving away 500 free winter coats for children this Saturday.

Pastor Rodney Ritchie said the charity work is a part of the “Christmas on the Mountain,” event. Ritchie said it is one of the many ways the church tries to give back to the community.

Ritchie said the church’s pavilion will also be full of other donated clothes for families in need. Ritchie said Christmas on the Mountain is one of three clothes drive the congregation hosts throughout the year.

After your clothing needs are met, Ritchie said the church will have other festivities to celebrate the holiday season. Ritchie said games will be available for children to participate in as well as free pictures with Santa Clause.

Christmas on the Mountain will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday. The church is located at 6389 Bockman Way in Sparta.
