Tennessee Tech enrollment down some three percent to begin the fall semester.
Tech President Dr. Phil Oldham said all but two state universities have seen their enrollment decrease as the new semester began.
“It’s primarily students that didn’t return, probably related to COVID, mostly students who were undecided on their major or field of study,” Oldham said. “Relative to some of our sister institutions three percent is not too bad.”
Oldham said the administration is working hard to recover that lost enrollment.
Tech officials had hoped to keep numbers steady from 2020.
