Rose passed away at Cookeville Regional Medical Center on Friday August 20, 2021 surrounded by her husband and daughter. Rose is survived by her dad, Charles Baker, her husband, Terry Haney, and her daughter Jennifer Leftwich and son-in-law Dietrich Leftwich. When my mom, Rose, walked into a room her smile lit it up. When she would open her mouth to speak the love of God poured out. My mom was a fan of the underdog. She earned a Master’s Degree in Business and has work ethic like no other. She truly treated people the way God wanted her to treat people. She gave people chances and promotions and second chances. She spent years telling me to “give them Grace” to those who may have wronged me. She lived her life as an example of a good person. My mom looked for and found the best in everyone and every situation. She made me and others want to better just for having known her. Knowing my mom, was to know that God’s love is real and it shined through her smile. My mom was also a person who enjoyed doing random acts of kindness. She did them all the time. So in honor of my mom, Rose, and her generous spirit we would like to ask that instead of flowers that people do random acts of kindness for others. Pay it forward.
