Obituaries For Monday, July 26

Jessie Daniel “Danny” Peercy, 80 of Sparta, passed away on Sunday, July 25 at his home. Mr. Peercy owned an automotive dealership for over 50 years, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. No services are scheduled at this time.

Paul Douglas Payne, 77 of Sparta, passed away Saturday, July 24 in Cookeville. No services are planned at this time.

Funeral services for Ann Allen, 84of the Flynns Creek community of Jackson County, will be held on Tuesday, July 27 at 2 P.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Jones Huff Cemetery in the New Salem community of Jackson County. Mrs. Allen passed away on Sunday, July 25 at her residence. She was married to the late Harley Allen, who passed away on August 5, 2018. She was a cafeteria worker at Gainesboro Elementary School, and a member of the Antioch Church of Christ. Surviving family includes her daughter, Teresa (Ronnie) Mayberry of Bloomington Springs. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until time of services.

Funeral services for Robert G. Taylor, 78 of Gainesboro, will be held on Wednesday, July 28 at 1 P.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Young Cemetery in the Center Grove community of Jackson County. Mr. Taylor passed away on Saturday, July 24 at his residence. On December 9, 1988, he was married to Bearchie Taylor, who survives. He served in the U.S. Army for 28 years, and was a member of the Center Grove Church of Christ and the Jackson County Veterans Hall. Survivng family includes his wife, Bearchie Taylor; and son, Douglas (Sibyl) Taylor. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10 A.M. until time of services.

Funeral services Mrs. Jeannette Lynn, age 94 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday July 31 at 5 p.m. at Collegeside Church of Christ. Private interment will be in Smyrna Cemetery. Mrs. Lynn died Friday afternoon, July 23rd at Heritage Pointe Senior Living. Mrs. Lynn’s family will receive friends Saturday from 3 p.m. until service time at the church.
