Hikers Rescued At Fall Creek Falls Monday

Two hikers rescued at Fall Creek Falls Monday after water began rising in Cane Creek Gorge.

Heavy rainfall trapped the two after they began hiking Monday morning. The hikers called 9-11 and were rescued by the Tennessee Highway Patrol Helicopter. The hikers did not suffer any injuries.

White County Rescue Squad, Cumberland County Rescue Squad, Putnam County Rescue Squad, and Chattanooga Hamilton County Cave & Cliff Team assisted with the extrication.
