Obituaries For Thursday, February 25
Betty Jean Donelson, age 84 of Sparta, passed away on Wednesday, February 24 at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, J.C. Donelson; two children, James Jr (Darlene) Donelson and Karen (Tim) Young. According to her wishes, she has chosen direct cremation and no visitation services will be held.
Sally Zaremba passed away February 24 surrounded by her husband of 62 years and her four children. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of cards or flowers, gifts can sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Jerry Wayne Carter, 66 of Cookeville and formerly of Mayland, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, February 23 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Jerry chose cremation, the family followed his wishes, and no services are planned at this time.
Mary Ann Myers, age 77 of Silver Point, passed away into eternal glory on Monday, February 22, 2021. Mary was a member of Algood Church of Christ. She loved fishing almost as much as she loved our Lord. Born to Carlton and Dixie Thompson (deceased) of Silver Point, Tennessee, Mary was the eldest daughter of their six children. She has three surviving children, Stephanie Myers of Charlotte, North Carolina, Janis Marie Myers of Cookeville, Tennessee and Ronald Dewitt (Tina) Myers of Lebanon, Tennessee. No services are planned at this time.
Funeral services for Patty Jo Apple Barlow was, age 80 of Lebanon and formerly of Jackson County, will begin at 2 pm Friday, February 26 in the Chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jackie Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Barlow passed away at her residence in Lebanon on Sunday, February 21. She was the daughter of Homer and Daris Ragland Apple. Mrs. Barlow was retired from Summit Medical Center working in the medical records department. she was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lebanon. Survivors include her son, Tim (Teresa) Barlow of Mt. Juliet; and daughter, Lucinda Barlow of Lebanon. Visitation will be on Friday, February 26 beginning at 11 am until 2 pm.
Funeral services for Mr. Dishmon Hamblin, age 86 of Sparta, will be conducted 11:00am Saturday, February 27 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Highland Cemetery. Roy Powell and James Hamblin will officiate. Mr. Hamblin passed away at 8:30pm Tuesday, February 23 at Life Care Center of Sparta. He was retired from Jeld-Wen Hardwoods. Dishmon played the harmonica since he was a young man and was glad to play a song for anyone that he met. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Sparta. Survivors include his children, Darrell (Trina) Hamblin, Denise (Wayne) Bogle, and Tonya (Wade) YoungBlood. The family will receive friends after 10:00am Saturday at Hunter Funeral Home.
Funeral Services for Marilyn Sue Bumbalough Klein, age 78 of Sparta, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 27 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Tim Bumbalough officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Klein passed away on Wednesday, February 24 at her home. She was born Thursday, April 23, 1942 in Sparta, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Orlee and Hassie Eller Bumbalough. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, William Merril (Bill) Klein; and their children, William Jackson (Jack) Klein, Sherry Lee Klein-Howard, and Barry Klein. The family will welcome friends on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until time of the service at the funeral home.

He Is Survived By His Wife Of 52 Years, Patricia Blaylock Harville Of Algood; Son And Daughter-In-Law, Keith And Susan Harville Of Cookeville. He assed away Thursday, February 18, 2021 in Cookeville, TN. Richard was born on May 20, 1956 in Cookeville, TN to the late Freddie and Minnie Golden. Richard loved to play music, write songs, and to perform his songs. Surviving Family include: Son, Jonathan Golden of Sparta; sister Sabra Bussell of Smithville; Brother Dewayne Marcus of Cookeville. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until time of the service at the funeral home.

She was born September 2, 1936, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Letcher Emerton and Martha Bell Scott Emerton. She was a homemaker. Survivors include 1 Son Donnie Ray Stafford of Gainesboro; 2 Daughters: Patricia Ann Winegar of Gainesboro, and Carolyn Prater of Sparta.
