The Cookeville City Court will suspend all in person court proceedings through January 18, due to the pandemic.
All in-person court proceedings scheduled for January 5 have been rescheduled for January 26 at 9:00 AM. In-person court proceedings for January 12 have been rescheduled for February 2 at 9:00 AM.
These rescheduled dates will be held at the Cookeville Municipal Building. Residents are being warned that there might be a large number of people in attendance at the Cookeville Municipal Building on those dates.
Residents will be required to comply with recommended social distancing measures that are in place on January 26.
Such measures shall include: wearing a mask, socially distanced seating and standing, staggered entrance times and limited in-person contact, in and around the municipal building.
However, the City Court Clerk’s office will be open to the public, both in-person, by email and by phone. Regular business hours will continue, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
