201 New COVID Cases Reported In Putnam Thursday

201 new COVID cases reported in Putnam County Thursday bringing this week’s total to 541.

That’s according to data from the State Department Of Health. Putnam County has 932 active COVID cases, the highest number since the pandemic began.

Warren County’s numbers have increased by 483 cases since Monday. That includes 144 new cases Thursday. The county has an active case tally of 835 cases. Warren County’s population is roughly half that of Putnam County.

Cumberland County reported 117 new cases Thursday, its highest number of the week. The county has 577 active cases.

Multiple Upper Cumberland county officials said the state’s numbers are lagging behind the actual data. Testing backed up following the Thanksgiving holiday, according to one county official.

The Upper Cumberland reported 800 new cases Thursday. Only Pickett, Van Buren and Jackson County had new case tallies below 20.

Cookeville Regional Medical Center reported an additional death Thursday, bringing the pandemic total to 104. 67 patients are being treated at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
