Livingston Academy Baseball Field House Heated This Season

Livingston Academy’s baseball field house will be heated next season with a new propane system.

Director of Schools Mark Winningham said baseball team coaches made the request to keep players warm between innings.

“It has been there for several years. It has never had heat or air in it,” Winningham said. “We are glad we are going to be able to provide heat during the winter. Obviously in the early spring when baseball and softball starts, it is quite cold.”

Winningham said the field house located north of the baseball field does not have a natural gas connection. The school system will have to rent a propane tank to provide fuel.

“We will have a company that will come in and do that for us,” Winningham said. “They will provide the heater, install the heater. Now, we will have to rent the propane tank, and they will run all the necessary things for that to work.”

Winningham said the bid winner will decide when to start work, but the $3,000 project should be completed this winter.
