Warren High School Free ACT Day

Junior students who could not take the ACT test during the spring semester will have an opportunity to next week.

Warren County High School Seniors will participate in free ACT Day Tuesday. Principal Clark George said over 370 students are scheduled to take the test.

“You know it’s important that all of our students do that because that is where they get money to go to college,” George said. “You know they get a certain amount through the lottery scholarships and a lot of the programs that do get scholarships do look at ACT scores.”

George said all students not taking the test will attend school virtually. He said this will be the first time the state is offering a free test on a school day.

Since this college entrance test was not available in the spring, special accommodations had to be made for dual enrolled students.

“Most colleges basically stepped up and changed their requirements a little bit because nobody had them [ACT scores] because they did not take the…ACT when they were supposed to in the spring,” George said.

The state will give each student two free ACT tests this year, George said.
