Mrs. Pearl Cockrum, 88 of Cookeville died Friday September 11, 2020 at 2:52 am at Morningside Assisted Living.

Graveside services for Diane M. Schimberg, age 63 of Baxter, will be held Saturday, September 12, 2020 beginning at 10:00 am at Smellage Memory Gardens Cemetery. Interment will follow in Smellage Memory Gardens, Boma, TN. Diane passed from this life on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Diane was a loving wife, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her. She worked many years in housekeeping at Knights Inn and Best Western Motel. She was an animal lover, and loved flea marketing, garage sales, and searching for antiques with her husband Charles. Diane is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Charles Schimberg of Baxter.

Funeral services for friends and family of Thelma Jean Gambrell, 88, of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, Sept. 12, at 1:00PM at Thurman Funeral Home in Sparta. Mrs. Gambrell passed away Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2020, at Saint Thomas Hospital in Murfreesboro. She is survived by her husband, William Gambrell; children, Janice Myers, Richard Gambrell, Roger Gambrell, Karen Eldridge (Robert), Jenny Adkins (Dave), and Barry Gambrell (Lisa). Thelma Jean loved music, singing and playing. She enjoyed arts and crafts, and made many items family can look at every day. She will be truly missed. Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 12 from 11:00AM until 1:00PM at Thurman Funeral Home.

A celebration of life for Roger D. Lands, age 73, of Cookeville will begin at 1:00pm on Saturday, September 12, 2020 in the
chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Pastor Charles Dotson of East Sparta Church of God will officiate. Mr. Lands passed from this life surrounded by his loving family the afternoon of Sunday, September 6, 2020, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Roger was an ordained bishop in the Church of God, Cleveland, TN and the pastor of Glad Tidings Worship Center in Ypsilanti, MI for 28 years. He was the chaplain of Annapolis Hospital in Wayne, MI for 10 years. After retirement, he and Linda relocated to Cookeville, where he was a member of the East Sparta Church of God, Sparta. He loved serving others and was a true giver. He also loved spending time with family and friends. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor. To continue his legacy, Roger leaves his loving wife Linda of 53 years and one son, Jason (Mandy) Land. Family and friends may visit from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, September 11, 2020 at Crest
Lawn Funeral Home. Roger will lie in-state 12:00pm on Saturday.

Funeral services for Clayton D. Walker age 81 of Gainesboro, will be held Saturday, September 12, 2020 beginning at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro with Bro. Jimmy Anderson and Bro. Matthew Scoggins officiating. Interment will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery in Cookeville. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend to all who knew him. He was a member of McCoinsville Church of Christ, and was there every chance he could. He also loved attending other church meetings in the area.  Clayton is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Barbara (Flatt) Walker of Gainesboro; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Radford Duke of Putnam County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, September 12 from 10:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm.

A memorial service for Mrs. Patricia Ann McClellan Sherrell, age 78 of Sparta, will be held 11:15 am Sunday, September 13, 2020 at the Sparta First Presbyterian Church. Rev. David Eisenmengar will officiate. She passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Life Center of Sparta.

Funeral Services for Lloyd Garrett age 89, of Cookeville will be held on Sunday at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Whitson Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Fortumato and Kelly Ramsey officiating, the Burial will follow at the Brotherton Cemetery. He passed away at his home in Putnam County on September 10, 2020. Mr. Garrett was a member of the Pilgrim Baptist Church of Cookeville and he retired from Tennessee Tech after many years of service as a Maintenance worker. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00pm until time of services at 2:00pm.

Funeral Services for Mr. James Leon Dale, age 84 of Rickman, will be conducted 2 pm Wednesday, September 16th, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston. Burial will be in Holly Springs Cemetery. James passed from this life on Saturday night, September 5, 2020, from Cookeville Regional Medical Center. James leaves behind his daughter Donna Faye Goodman of Rickman and his adopted daughter, Chyanne Dale of Rickman. The family will welcome friends on Wednesday from 12 noon until time of services at 2 pm.
