3 Pounds Of Meth Seized In Friday Arrest

A dealer believed to bring large quantities of methamphetamine into the Upper Cumberland faces multiple charges after a Friday morning arrest.

Putnam County Sheriffs Deputies arrested Jacob Douglas along South Jefferson Avenue with 1.5 kilos of meth in his vehicle around 1am Friday. Douglas was out on bond after an earlier arrest this year on drug charges.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigations, the City of Cookeville’s Drug Unit, and the Overton County Drug Unit joined the sheriffs department in the investigation.

According to the Sheriffs Department, Douglas brings methamphetamine into Tennessee from out-of-state. He was placed under $300,000 bond and is being held in the Putnam County Jail.
