The family of a missing Putnam County man remains hopeful and asks for your help to locate him.
Tabitha Garza, the niece of Arnold “Chigger” Vaughn, said the family has not seen or heard from him since July 31st. Garza said Vaughn was known to be away for days at a time, but always returned home to care for his dogs.
“He does not just get up and leave his dogs.” Garza said. “He has one they had to take to the pound, and the other one, Max, the neighbor has taken care of him. He does not just get up and leave his dogs. We hope we find him.”
Garza said the family has already searched locations where Vaughn regularly visited. Garza said they hope to find Vaughn soon and ask for your prayers as searches continue.
“I know Monterey has done a lot, and I thank them,” Garza said. “I do believe they have done searches, and I was there for one. They have done searches with drones and still can not find anything. I know Cookeville and Putnam County are doing a lot as well. If he does come back and he is found, but if he is not, we just want closure.”
57-year-old Vaughn reported last seen near his home in Monterey, wearing blue jeans and a tan shirt. He stands 5-7 with reddish hair and blue eyes. A neighbor reported Vaughn missing July 31st.
