One person has died amidst the COVID cluster outbreak at NHC of McMinnville with another patient transferred to the hospital.
The McMinnville long-term facility reports 18 patients have tested positive. 16 are currently being treated at the facility. Nine employees have tested positive, according to data released by NHC. This weekend’s death the first COVID death at the facility.
The number of cases continues to expand with two patients and four employees considered at risk, according to data.
A total of 102 patients live at the facility, according to the State Department of Health.
The outbreak began last week at the center located off Old Smithville Road. NHC of McMinnville is the only Upper Cumberland facility currently dealing with a cluster outbreak. 81 facilities statewide are dealing with outbreaks.
