Mrs. Kay Frances Sherrill, age 80 of Livingston. passed from this life on Tuesday morning, June 30, 2020. She was born in Overton County on December 12, 1939, to the late Fred and Katie Garrett Smith. She was a 1957 graduate of Livingston Academy. Private services will be conducted at a later date.
Private Graveside Services for Mrs. Liz McCormick, age 82 of Livingston, will be conducted Thursday, July 2, 2020, from the Overton County Memorial Gardens. Bro. Danny Staggs and Rev. James Shenko will officiate. Mrs. McCormick passed from this life on Saturday, June 27, 2020, from Livingston Regional Hospital. She was born in Overton County on June 12, 1938, to the late John R. and Veo Hogue Johnson. She loved her family and her Lord. She enjoyed going to yard sales, talking to people, and meeting new friends. She was a good storyteller and enjoyed working in her flower garden. Mrs. Liz leaves behind her daughters Angela Jones and husband Peter of Raywick, KY, Vickie White of Livingston, and Beth Geary and husband Mark of Livingston; son William McCormick and wife Meloni of Galloway, OH; grandchildren Lacey and Cassie White and Alex, Max, and Sarah Geary; sister Katherine Johnson; brother Bob Johnson and wife Ann of Warren, MI; and several nieces and nephews.

Rose passed from this life on Monday, June 29, 2020, at NHC Healthcare of Cookeville. Rose is survived by, Grandsons, Erich and Stacy Loftis, and Brian Loftis; 2 Great-Grandchildren, Veronica and Simon, all of Houston, Texas; and Step-Granddaughter, Paula Ford. Rose was born Wednesday, April 20, 1927, in Cookeville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Asa Plesant and the late Delia Augusta (Chaffin) Anderson.

Mrs. Sells passed from this life on Monday afternoon, June 29, 2020, from Livingston Regional Hospital. She was born in Overton County on July 17, 1942, to the late James Arter and Lerla Jewell Reagan Beaty. She loved her family dearly. Margie enjoyed quilting, watching Gunsmoke and John Wayne films, and drinking coffee while watching the television. Mrs. Sells leaves behind her sons Mark Sells and wife Tammy of Monroe and Parker Norris of Cookeville; daughter Carley Norris of Cookeville; grandchildren Jeremy, Lucas, Matt, Sarah, Jayton, Morgan, Kaleb, and Cayslee; great grandchildren Capp, Carter, Sutton, and Liam; sisters Peggy Conatser of Jamestown, Barbara Jean Davenport and husband James of Murfreesboro, Sandy Tubbs of Gordonsville, and Judy Robbins of Rickman; and brother Steven Norris and wife Nicole.
Funeral services for Mr. John “Bud” Wade Davis, age 88 of Cookeville, will be held Thursday, July 2nd at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Rev. Frank Hickman will officiate. Interment will follow in Browns Mill Cemetery. Mr. Davis died Monday June 29, 2020 in Sparta from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Friends are invited to come by the funeral home to sign the guest book and pay their respects. Mrs. Griner passed away on June 26, 2020. She attended Shipley Church and was loved as a Quilting Artist. Bessie was born on January 26, 1923 in Putnam County to the late Lewis A. and Allie C. (Countiss) Gentry.
Funeral services for Lillie Mae Christian, 84, of Gainesboro, will be held at 1 P.M. on Thursday, July 2, 2020, at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro. Burial will follow in the Clementsville Cemetery in Clay County. She passed away on Monday, June 29, 2020, at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was born May 5, 1936, in Clay County, TN, to the late Raymond Cherry and Lela Copas Cherry. On March 11, 1954, she was married to the late Frank E. Christian, who passed away August 21, 2018. She was a restaurant worker, and a member of the Poston Chapel Community Church. Survivors include 2 Sons: Kenneth (Glenda) Christian and Scottie (Linda) Christian, all of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sisters: Jean Ferrell and Margaret Ferrell of Lebanon, TN; 1 Brother: Jerry (Carlene) Cherry of Watertown, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Angie Christian, Kenneth Christian, Bennie Phillips, and Valerie Phillips; 23 Great Grandchildren; and 1 Great Great Grandchild. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 P.M. – 8 P.M., and Thursday from 10 A.M. until time of services.

Mary passed away on Monday, June 29, 2020. It would have been the 92nd birthday of her late husband Jimmy Bryant, whom passed away October 10, 2019. They were married 72 years.She was a hard worker which was evident from her work career that spanned from the shirt factory to a cook at Bondecroft Elementary School and finally worked as a cook at Sonic. When she was not at one of her many jobs, she was a homemaker and loved to mow her yard.The family will receive friends on Thursday from noon until 2:00pm at Hunter Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mr. James David “Jim” Pollard, age 65 of Sparta, will be conducted 1:00pm Friday, July 3, 2020 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00am until service time at 1:00pm at Hunter Funeral Home. David Copeland will officiate. He passed away Tuesday morning, June 30, 2020, at his residence. Jim was born October 4, 1954 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late James Dallas and Oleta Irene Meek Pollard. When he was ten years old, he lost both of his parents within months of one another. He was raised by his paternal grandparents, the late Beecher Mansfield and Laura Luna Pollard, and aunt, Della Mae Pollard. Jim was a highly decorated Paramedic with two careers served in his lifetime. Jim worked hand in hand with departments all around Middle Tennessee including Hendersonville Fire Department, Gallatin Fire Department, Nashville Fire Department, and many volunteer fire and rescue departments within Middle Tennessee. Jimmy Anderson, Jake Edgar, John Michael Poss, Daren Robinson, Jeremiah Sunshine and Lori Thurman will serve the family as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Logan, Lucas and Lane Dickerson

She loved her family very much and enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and spending time in her flower gardens. She frequently listened to Gospel music and always found time to read her Bible. Mrs. Valentine leaves behind her daughters Betty Ann Leib and husband Earl of Mechanicsburg, PA and Linda Woodring and husband Allen of Laudisburg, PA; sons Ed Valentine and wife Grace of Lancaster, PA, Jim Valentine and wife Lila of Allons, TN, and Glen Valentine of Dayton, TX; grandchildren Erica Garber and husband Mike, Heather Leib, Jason Woodring and wife Melissa, Josh Woodring and wife Ruby, Melissa Hinnebush and husband Dan, Laura Campbell and husband Abram, Jamie Valentine and wife Lori, Brady Valentine, and Brody Valentine.
