Mr. Burton died Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born April 13, 1937 in the Shaw Branch Community of Jackson County to the late Bill and Bertie Willoughby Burton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Ott, Carl, John and Martin Burton. He was a member of Silver Point Church of Christ. He was retired from McCord’s of Cookeville and served at the Silver Point Convenience Center. He enjoyed volleyball, whittling and spending time with family and friends.

They were married 72 years.She was a hard worker which was evident from her work career that spanned from the shirt factory to a cook at Bondecroft Elementary School and finally worked as a cook at Sonic.
