Online registration for the Putnam County Schools fall semester begins Friday.
Director of Schools Corby King said all registration will be online this year. Returning students will receive data verification forms via parent email addresses. New student registration will be held online at the school system website. Individual schools will still interact with parents during the process.
“We need parents to download and read the enrollment guidelines PDF before clicking the registration button on our website,” King said.
King said school campuses will remain closed through May with the hope that campuses can begin reopening June 1. King said the system hopes to reopen the School Age Child Care Services for families previously signed up for the program. Registration information will be available Monday.
“There will be additional safety measures in place when we reopen including cleaning and sanitation, drop-off and pick-up procedures, and class-size limitations for the program,” King said.
King said the program could be forced to close at any point because of COVID-19. He said additional summer camp programs may return in June. Decisions will be made by May 15.
