Only two Upper Cumberland long-term care facilities have dealt with two or more positive COVID-19 cases during this outbreak.
The Department of Health released new data for facilities across the state in an effort to protects residents, family and staff.
Algood’s Signature Health Care Center reported 51 positive cases, second highest among Tennessee’s long-term care facilities. The White House Assisted Living Center in Macon County reported five cases.
“This data and report give a clear picture on the risks that the virus poses to long-term care facilities and the aggressive actions the state and has taken and will continue to take to protect residents and staff,” Tennessee Department of Health Commissioner Dr. Lisa Piercey said.
22 centers across the state have clusters of at least two cases.
