Tornado Relief Fund Assistance Offered

Tornado victims who need help with applying for the Cookeville-Putnam County Tornado Relief Fund can get in-person assistance this week.

Volunteers will be available at the Cookeville Community Center beginning Friday to assist those who may not have computer access or who many need help.

Assistance will be offered Friday and Saturday from 10am-4pm, Sunday and Monday 1pm-4pm; and Tuesday 1pm-6pm. The committee wants to begin distributing money by the end of the month.

County Mayor Randy Porter said volunteers will take all necessary COVID-19 precautions.
