Crossville Man Stabbed With Pocket Knife

A 29-year old Crossville man faces aggravated assault charges after stabbing a man with a pocket knife.

Michael Adam Howard found at the Genesis Road Shell station with blood on his knife’s blade Sunday.

Howard told Crossville Police he had taken a ride with two men, including the stabbing victim Brandon Scott McDonald, so he could buy Suboxone. Howard said McDonald threatened him with the trio were stopped at a convenience store, coming at him with a baseball bat. Howard admitted to stabbing McDonald with the pocket knife and fleeing to the adjacent Shell station via the drivers door.

That store’s attendants alerted police.

The driver of the vehicle, Sonny Jones, transported the victim to the hospital. Jones gave police permission to search his truck where they found two bats. The smaller bad had dried blood on the handle. McDonald refused to tell police who assaulted him.

Police seized the wooden bats and the knife. McDonald faces charges, but he could not be served because he was under medical care.

Howard admitted he had been using meth.
