William Carol Trobaugh, age 74 of Cookeville, passed away Sunday night. Private Family Graveside Service for William Carol Trobaugh, age 74, will be held at Boiling Springs Cemetery. Eugene Gilliam will preside at service. William Carol Trobaugh was born on January 14, 1946 in DeKalb County, TN to the late William Leo and Sarah Ethel (Dunn) Trobaugh. He was a carpenter and worked for Tennessee Tech. William also served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Nash Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include Wife: Judy Trobaugh-Baxter, TN; 2 Sons & Daughters-In-Law: Greg (Melissa) Trobaugh-Rickman, TN; Dewayne (Lehra) Trobaugh-Baxter, TN; 1 Daughter & Son-In-Law: Carol (Steve) Harris-Cookeville, TN; Private Family Graveside Services will be held at Boiling Springs Cemetery.

Arthur George Folster, age 70 of Cookeville, passed away Sunday at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He continued his education at Northeastern University in Boston, MA, where he got his degree in Civil Engineering. He worked for Perini/Tudor Building Company, based in Framingham, Ma. and later in California for 28 years until his retirement in 2010. He coached girls and boys basketball in Milford, Ma. He took many trips to Alaska and of course loved fishing there also, especially reeling a big halibut. He leaves behind, his loving wife Mary Collins Folster, Monterey, TN. His son Jeremy (Colleen) Folster Blackstone, Ma, two daughters, Jessica (John) Warrington , Attleboro, Ma. and Carrie (Rob) Petty Dyersburg, TN. Two wonderful grandsons Brady and Brendan Folster, two granddaughters Isabella Warrington, Attleboro, Ma. and Maggie Renshaw (Aaron Odem) Baxter, TN. Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Mrs. Frances Ruth Moore, age 91, of Cookeville, passed away Sunday April 5, 2020 at her home. She was born June 17, 1928 in the Twinton Community in Overton County to the late William and Ova Stover McDonald. As a young person, Mrs. Moore worked as a nursing assistant to Dr. C.A. Collins in Monterey. She later worked and retired from Teledyne-Stillman. Services will be held at a later date.

Joan Riggs Johnson, age 88 of Cookeville, passed away Sunday. Joan was born on September 13,1931 in Pomeroy, Ohio to Perry and Gladys (Morgan) Riggs. Her parents had a farm near the Ohio River where she and her sister, Nora Eason, grew up and to which she loved going back through the years and was able to enjoy several annual Pomeroy High School reunions. She and her husband, Martin L Johnson met as students at The Ohio State University and were married on July 1,1955. Joan graduated with a liberal arts degree in 1954 and taught English in the early 1960’s at Misawa High School on the air base in Japan. She also taught a few years at Dresden Elementary and at Summerour Middle School in the Atlanta area. After living for short periods in Michigan, Missouri, Texas, Japan, Nebraska, and Massachusetts she and her husband settled down in Atlanta in 1965 and raised their three children. Funeral services will be announced a later date.

Graveside Funeral Services For Joyce Marie Floyd Bowman, Age 70, Of Monterey, Will Be Conducted At Welch Memorial Cemetery. Dr. Jerry Huffman Will Officiate And Interment Will Follow. Ms. Bowman Was Born On January 10, 1950, In Monterey, To The Late Tommy And Susie Mae Enoch Floyd. Ms. Bowman Passed Away On Monday, April 6, 2020, At Standing Stone Care And Rehabilitation Center. Ms. Bowman Was A Homemaker. She Was A Faithful Attendant Of Monterey First Baptist Church Where She Loved Her Sunday School And Bible Training Classes. She Is Survived By, 3 Sons, Adam Kilgore Of Cookeville, Tommy Bowman Of Cookeville, Perry Bowman Of Cookeville; 2 Sisters And A Brother-In-Law, Tommie Jean Floyd Roberson And Gary Roberson Of Monterey, Lucille Reynolds Of Florida; 2 Brothers, Charles Floyd Of Nashville, Eddie Floyd Of Oregon. In Addition To Her Parents, She Was Preceded In Death By Her Infant Son, Clyde Bowman; 2 Sisters, Mary Lou Walker And Helen Stidman; 2 Brothers, Jack Floyd And Ralph Floyd. The Family Would Like To Thank Monterey Senior Citizens, All Friends For Their Support And Kindness And The Sunshine Group For Being So Kind To Joyce.

Rev. Bobby Roberts Will Officiate With Interment To Follow. Mr. Wilson Was Born On August 24, 1958, In Jackson County, Tennessee, To The Late James Harold And Lucy Martin Wilson. Mr. Wilson Passed Away On Monday, April 6, 2020, At The Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mr. Wilson Was A Factory Worker Formerly Working With Dacco In Cookeville. He Was A United States Army Veteran. He Is Survived By, 3 Daughters, Jessica Michelle Wilson Of Cookeville, TN, Candy Star Johnson Of Grant, MI, Sara Williams Of Cookeville, TN; 3 Sons, Christopher Wilson Of Baxter, TN, Rodney Kirk Elrod Of Cookeville, TN, Joshua Wilson Of Hendersonville, TN; 14 Grandchildren; 1 Sister, Jannie Hardy Of Myrtle Beach, SC. In Addition To His Parents, He Was Preceded In Death By His Wife, Drenia Quarles Wilson; And Brothers, Eddie Wayne Wilson, James Hugh Wilson, Jackie Wilson.

Ms. Kinney Was Born On November 2, 1948, In Livingston, Tennessee, To The Late Rosie Nell Tomblin Cox. Ms. Kinney Passed Away On Sunday, April 5, 2020, At Standing Stone Care And Rehabilitation Center In Monterey. Ms. Kinney Had Worked With Russell Stover Candy Factory In Cookeville, Tennessee. She Was A Homemaker. She Is Survived By Her Son, Jeff Cox Of Monterey, TN; Daughter, Michelle Frazier Of Cookeville, TN; And 1 Grandson, Quinton Frazier.

Graveside services for Mr. Donnie Allen Dulworth, age 54 of Hilham, will be conducted 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 8, 2020, from Old Union Cemetery. Bro. Jerry Buck will officiate. The family will welcome friends at the graveside. Mr. Dulworth passed from this life on Thursday, April 2, 2020. He was born in Overton County on August, 14, 1965, to Orden Dulworth and the late Betty Hawkins Dulworth. Donnie enjoyed hunting, fishing, visiting his friends, and working on his truck. Mr. Dulworth leaves behind his wife Sherry Dulworth of Hilham; father Orden Dulworth of Hilham; sons Adam Haney, Steven Dulworth, and Durell Dulworth of Hilham; grandson Allen Dulworth of Hilham; brother Carl Dulworth of Hilham; and special friend Alyicia Dillon of Gainesboro.

Visitation for the Honorable Oliver James Hill, age 87, a resident of Sparta, will be held Friday April 10, 2020 from 4-7:00pm at Hunter Funeral Home following a private service at Sparta City Cemetery. He passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Life Care Center of Sparta. Judge Hill, affectionately known as “Judge” or “Pal”, was the General Sessions Judge in Sparta for 25 years. He was born December 19, 1932 in Sparta to the late Malcolm Carnes Hill, Sr. and Rebecca Lacy Hill. As an avid golfer and tennis player, Judge was a founding member of Sparta Country Club. He was also an outdoorsman, who enjoyed hiking in Scott’s Gulf or walking around his neighborhood on Story Mountain. If he was not in the woods, he was making things out of wood in his workshop at his home. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife Lauretta Rich Hill on December 15, 1995 and his brother Malcolm Carnes Hill, Jr. Surviving family members include his Son: Justin Hill and wife Tatum of Cookeville; Grandson: Oliver Grey Hill; Granddaughter: Lennon Elizabeth Hill; Sisters: Carmine Smith of California and Sarah “Sado” Pfeiffer of North Carolina; Longtime Companion: Judy McDonald and her family Steve, Kim, Elin, Layne, Makayla, Robert, Sherry, Shayna, Rett, Lyla, Gage, Seth, Kendra, and Brody. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services for Mrs. Freda Denise Margeson Baker better know as Denise, age 58 of Sparta. will be conducted 1:00pm Friday, April 10, 2020 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. She passed away Tuesday morning , March 24, 2020 at Generations of Spencer. Denise was born November 12, 1961 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Willie J. Margeson, Sr. and Betty Ross Cope Margeson. She was a farmer and a sawmill worker. At home, she enjoyed taking care of her chickens but her true joy was taking care of her grandchildren. Surviving family members include her daughter Dena Hopkins and husband JohnThe family will receive friends from 11:00am until service time at Hunter Funeral Home.
