A New hotline opened Monday to give families a place to check on emergency cash assistance through the Tennessee Department of Human Services.
Applicants can call (833) 496-0661 to check on their status. The COVID-19 emergency cash assistance program is funded by the Temporary Assistance for Needy
Families (TANF) and provides two monthly cash payments to approved families depending on family size.
You can apply for assistance at TDHS.ServiceNow.Com. Applications will be accepted through May 29.
