Plexiglass Barriers Coming To Grocery Chain

Plexiglass barriers to protect cashiers will be installed at all Publix locations nationwide, including the Cookeville location.

The partitions will be used at cash registers, customer service desks and pharmacies. The installation will take place in the next two weeks.

“We’re taking extra precautions for the well-being of our customers and associates,” Spokeswoman Maria Brous said.

Kroger and Wal Mart have already announced the partitions.
