Jordi Pleads Guilty to 2nd Degree Murder

Joshua Jordi has pleaded guilty for the 2nd Degree Murder of his father Timothy Leroy Jordi.

13th Judicial District Attorney General Bryant Dunaway’s office oversaw the case.

“Joshua Jordi entered a guilty plea in the criminal court of White County to second degree murder and was sentenced to thirty years imprisonment at 100 percent,” Dunaway said. “That plea was entered after consultation with the victim’s family. Considering all factors, that was the resolution that we felt was reasonable under the circumstances.”

The 2018 case came to an end last week, Dunaway said.

“It kind of came to happen quickly,” Dunaway said, “We had some motions that we were litigating and some legal issues that turned into discussions about a plea.”

Timothy Leroy Jordi was found dead on March 8, 2018 at his home in Sparta.

At the time Joshua Jordi was a student at Minnesota State University. He was arrested on March 12, 2018 in Mankato, Minnesota before extradition back to Tennessee. In his dorm room, investigators allegedly found evidence including a notebook with a diagram of his father’s home along with a checklist of items including a change of cloths, plastic bags, and latex gloves.
