Wilson Bank and Trust announced a $100 Million Loan program Monday to assist those affected by the tornadoes in Putnam, Smith, Wilson and Davidson Counties.
“We’ve got this money that’s allocated by our executive management to help rebuild the communities that have been affected by this,” Cookeville Vice President Phillip Clemmons said.
The loan program will include reductions in the costs associated with the loans along with multiple options available to those impacted. It includes no origination fees. Clemmons said the bank has also reached out to other vendors who are involved in the home-building process.
The program is available to those who had damage or homes destroyed, Clemmons said.
“We’re calling this Operation Build Back, because as a result of all the devastation that’s happened, that’s why we’re here,” Regional Manager Wes Taylor said. “We’re here to reach out to help and build back those homes for those folks that were lost.”
Even if a construction loan or a home-equity line of credit does not fit your needs, Taylor said bank officials will try to assist.
