Cookeville Regional Medical Center moved up its inpatient visitation restrictions to Sunday.
CEO Paul Korth said the decision was made because of the rising number of coronavirus cases Saturday across Tennessee.
Effective immediately, only two visitors will be allowed for any hospital inpatient. These two people will be screened before entering the hospital. Visitors cannot leave the hospital between 9:00pm and 5:30am.
The two visitors cannot change. These two people, who must be 16 or older, will be the only visitors allowed during the patient’s stay.
That number will be one support person per visitor for those at The Birthing Center or Inpatient Rehabilitation.
Beginning Sunday, only three entrances will be opened to visitors: the main entrance, east entrance, and the emergency department.
