More than 2,200 volunteers spent a sunny, cool Saturday volunteering in the highway 70 corridor.
Putnam County Mayor Randy Porter said volunteers accomplished a lot Saturday and the new process put into place went smoothly. Volunteers will again be needed on Sunday. To volunteer, please go to www.PutnamCountyTN.Gov. Volunteers must register and go through the three-step process before they will be allowed in the affected area.
Upper Cumberland Electric reduced the number of customers without power to 50 Saturday.
