Remembering Todd and Sue Koehler

Todd and Sue Koehler left this world behind as a result of the Tuesday tornado.

Todd’s long time friend Greg Hensley said the two have been best friends since 1982.

“Well Todd, he was a wonderful guy. Him and I are like opposites, we’re like the odd couple. I’m pretty flamboyant and I’ve got a traveling job and I travel all over, and he went to work at a machine shop,” Hensley said. “He worked hard all of his life, he took care of his friends and family, and he was a rock for a lot of people. He had a lot of good friends in his life, and he was the glue that held a lot of people together. He loved to work on cars; loved to work on his yard, his home; he loved to go boating, he loved to hunt; he was just an all around wonderful guy. Everybody liked Todd. A lot of people have hits and misses in life but everybody liked Todd, and he’s the kind of person that you want in your life.”

Hensley continued to talk about how good of a wife Sue was to Todd. They had been together 10 years, and have been married for two years. Hensley said after they met they fell in love and had been together ever since.

“Todd loved Sue and that’s all that mattered to me. She was really good to him and I’m glad he found somebody in life that they felt each other about and they were both good people,” Hensley said. “They were both Christians, they both believed in the Lord. I believe everything happened for a reason, they went out together and I know they’re in heaven. He was at peace with himself and with the world and I know she was too, so that kinda sums it up right there.”

Sue was the manager at the Algood Walmart. Hensley added she was a salt of the earth kind of person.
