One person suffered injuries during a three-vehicle crash in Putnam County Monday morning.
The accident happened just before 7:35 a.m. at the 270 eastbound mile marker of Interstate 40.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said 19-year-old Jacob Hough of Liberty was traveling in the left lane when he stopped for a crash ahead. A crash report said Hough’s 2001 Ford Ranger was struck in the rear by a Ford F 250, driven by 20-year-old Nicholas Dillehay of Brush Creek, TN.
The impact caused Hough’s vehicle to strike the rear of a tractor trailer, driven by 58-year-old Richard Bekooy of Buckeye, Arizona.
The THP did not issue any charges or citations following the crash. The report said that Hough suffered injuries during the collision.
